Who we are

Alex Findley, trading as Offcut Office, is the controller of the personal information described here. Contact: hello@offcutoffice.co.uk, 15 Alfriston Road, Paignton, Devon, TQ3 3FR.

What we collect and why

• Purchases: downloads are sold through Payhip, and card payments are processed by Stripe. Payhip and Stripe handle checkout and your payment details as controllers in their own right, under their own privacy policies. We never see your full card details. We receive your name, email address and order details so we can deliver your purchase and help with support. Legal basis: to fulfil our contract with you.
• Free downloads: our free templates are also delivered through Payhip. To get one, you give your email address (and your name, if Payhip asks for it) so the file can be sent to you. Legal basis: to provide the download you asked for.
• Quote Chaser waitlist: if you join the free Quote Chaser early access waitlist, Payhip collects your email address and name for us. We use them only to tell you about Quote Chaser early access, and not for anything else. Joining the waitlist doesn't sign you up to marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time, or ask to be removed by emailing hello@offcutoffice.co.uk. Legal basis: your consent, which you give by joining and can withdraw at any time.
• Marketing emails: we only send you emails about Offcut Office products if you opted in at checkout, or, if you've bought from us, about similar products of ours, with an easy unsubscribe in every email (the UK "soft opt-in"). Getting a free download doesn't sign you up on its own. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by emailing hello@offcutoffice.co.uk. Legal basis: your consent, or for paying customers our legitimate interests in telling you about similar products.
• Support emails: what you send to hello@offcutoffice.co.uk, so we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interests in answering your questions and supporting customers.
• Order records: we keep records of sales because tax law requires it. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Who helps us run Offcut Office

• Payhip (online store, download delivery and any marketing emails) and Stripe (card payments), as described above.
• Cloudflare hosts this website. Like any web host, it processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
• Email: messages to hello@offcutoffice.co.uk are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox at Fastmail.

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on legal safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

Cookies and analytics

This website doesn't set any cookies and doesn't use analytics or tracking. Payhip's store and checkout pages are run by Payhip, which has its own cookie policy.

How long we keep it

• Order and tax records: 6 years after the end of the tax year they relate to.
• Free download records: up to 2 years after your download, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Quote Chaser waitlist: until 12 months after Quote Chaser launches, or until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed, whichever comes first.
• Marketing email list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
• Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends, unless they form part of an order record.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. To use your rights, email hello@offcutoffice.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
